Seven Tribes, Seven Fathers is a landmark
collaboration between british filmmakers and Kyrgyz producers, that will help bring Kyrgyz culture to a wider audience. The film is a dynamic celebration of Kyrgyz culture and people. Weaving together the old and the new, we see Kok Boru, Berkutchi, modern street racers, traditional weavers, wrestlers, and many more elements of Kyrgyz culture - all tied together through the wise words of Manaschy Omurbek.

About the project
We were thrilled when we were chosen by a British filmmaking team seeking an experienced Kyrgyz production partner. The project’s ambition to highlight Kyrgyz culture and people resonated deeply with us.

Over the course of two weeks, our team was fully dedicated to ensuring the success of the documentary. We provided comprehensive support, from conducting in-depth research and connecting the filmmakers with local talent to acting as translators, drivers, and fixers. Our goal was not only to facilitate a smooth production process but also to build lasting relationships. The filmmakers’ trust and collaboration allowed us to bring our expertise to the forefront, and we are proud of the result.

Our efforts helped weave together the rich tapestry of Kyrgyz culture depicted in the film—from the traditional Kok Boru and Berkutchi to contemporary street racers, weavers, and wrestlers, all narrated through the insightful words of Manaschy Omurbek. The project was a dynamic celebration of Kyrgyz heritage, blending the old with the new.

Working with the team was a rewarding experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a significant cultural project. We continue to stay in touch with our colleagues and are excited about our ongoing and future collaborations. At Tenti, we are committed to delivering top-notch production services and look forward to more opportunities to showcase Kyrgyz culture on the global stage.
