Seven Tribes; Seven Fathers

Seven Tribes, Seven Fathers is a landmark collaboration between british filmmakers and Kyrgyz producers, that will help bring Kyrgyz culture to a wider audience. The film is a dynamic celebration of Kyrgyz culture and people. Weaving together the old and the new, we see Kok Boru, Berkutchi, modern street racers, traditional weavers, wrestlers, and many more elements of Kyrgyz culture – all tied together through the wise words of Manaschy Omurbek.

About the project

We were proud to support a UK-based documentary team seeking a trusted production partner in Kyrgyzstan. The filmmakers aimed to spotlight Kyrgyz culture and people—a mission that aligned closely with our own values.

Over two weeks, our team provided end-to-end production and fixer services, including:

  • In-depth research and story development

  • Scouting locations across Kyrgyzstan

  • Casting local characters

  • Translation and on-the-ground coordination

  • Transport and crew logistics

We helped bring to life a diverse range of stories—from Kok Boru players and eagle hunters to street racers, weavers, and wrestlers—all woven together by the narration of Manaschy Omurbek.

This collaboration was more than a job—it was a shared effort to tell authentic stories. We’re grateful for the trust placed in us and continue to work with the team on future projects.

At Tenti TV, we specialize in production support for international film crews in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia—offering fixer services, location permits, logistics, and access to unique cultural experiences.
